see if I don’t slap you
into knowledge
reading is how I lead
I try to instill this truth
into those who refuse to
pick up a book and read
those who rather believe
whet they hear
a tickle in the ear
those who follow
hollowed out
living in fear
because they think
fear is a real thing
that lives and breathe
not realizing that fear
Is dead and ignorance
gives birth
to the rising
