Away from my eyes you put them down.
You put them on ice just to hold a crown.
Play fair Babylon play fair.
Your days are numbered by the shed of a hair.
Away from my eyes you take a name.
Stealing out of a furnace as an exchange for fame.
But in this here world, its only one source.
Taking from me is like taking my voice.
I call the sun to wake.
I step in a sea full of sharks and they gladly move out of my way.
I touch a rose and the birds sings.
I crush the head of a snake that is now in bargain for wings.
They will always be gold.
You just wouldn't listen.
You could hold them down
But that comes with a petition.
From the roots of the dirt I pluck, pluck, pluck.
For you my friend, I’ll keep your existence in tuck.
Away from my eyes you take shine.
The chosen’s ones
Gold, pearls, beauty, diamond.
Now what I need you to do
Is to cut them loose
You ole pest you
Don’t make me take off my boot.
It was my plan all alone
You just couldn't see
You lost your way to the drinking well
Just for trying to be like me.
You have two eyes.
I do too.
You can’t see me.
I can see you.
You took their existence and you take their gold.
Time sure do fly by.
You have lost your soul.
