Sweat drips from my brow
An exasperated huff
Grinding my teeth
Narrowing eyes
I spring forward
Lifting as high as the clouds themselves
Grunting and panting
Fighting back the tears
Tearing my tendons
Shedding old skin
Complete reversal
Hot tingling sensation
Keep going
Captures oxygen in my lungs
A frown graced my face
Vision blurred by waterfalls of sweat
My clothes are drenched
Friction of fabric eats its way into my skin
Can’t go on much longer
Getting tired
It will only make you stronger
But the pain stiffens my movement
It promises to break my will
But I still maintain stride
Clenching my fist tight
Biting the inside of my jaw
I carry on
Persistent and all
For the pains my senses will clear
The agony of every squat
It’s like it wants to tear me apart
But I never stopped
I showed strength
Making me fit and quick
Satisfied with what I did
Enjoying this well accomplished victory
I am glad I persevered
