  On The Worst That Could Be…

Stop---no longer must we mourn and weep

     Without restitution;

Let us rise up, fight and claim our rights

     Guaranteed in the Constitution.

That white lives matter has always been evident

     To them, me and you;

Let us make no apologies for reminding all

     That black lives matter too!

The rampant hunger game killings of our precious lot

     Must come to a stop;

No longer can we stand by and allow another of our hue

      To be murdered by some rapid, racist cop.

For many of us, what lies ahead may seem to be to you,

     An unfair, unearned evil curse;

But to stand by and allow the viciousness to continue,

      Would be for us, even worst.
