the thing about having a good time
is the fact that good times don't last
not to say that bad times will follow
but the moment has past and can only
be recalled in memory, a memory that
brings back the feelings that can sometimes
become unpleasant when it fades
we always remember those days
we often talk about those days
some of us are still trying to live
those days
the clothes we wear
the way we act
how we style our hair
and the things we say
even though we know that
those days are not today
we still have the need to
fill the empty void
so that we can feel the same way
when we had a good time
with those we love and those
who loved us
those who left and took
