of my poetry
you died in my mind
a long time ago
holding on for life
I had to let you go
letting you know
what it's like to fall
like when you
pushed me down
so many times
I had to crawl
it's hard to count
the scars on my back
reaching out for you
to save me
I pulled it back
you betrayed me
I let you live in my lines
a rhyme
for the pronunciation
of your name
I could not find
you asked me if I
could spare a dime
I gave you a dollar

the look on your face
priceless
1.75 for a slice
of humble pie
I'm the reason why
you're still alive
still breathing
in my lines
I've killed you
a thousand times
stopped your heart
