Everything's different now
the way we sound
what we think is profound
our highs
the depths of our downs
from our silence stirred an uproar
dreams blossomed nightmares
from selfishness sprouted self indulged fears
the mistrust lead to no care
together we fell to pieces
dirty our conscience we bathed in each others tears
for gray skies nothing ever seems clear
a heavenly love was the beginning of a hellish reflection in our bathroom mirror,
where we used to pose with cocky smiles
think love would last all the while.
how wrong we were in that moment of truthful wows,
to wish perfect
we must have been oddly insane....
