A word so true
A definition so clear
That everyone knew
But in this context
So blue
Its meaning is not
So new
Love
A word so great
That from everyone
There is much debate
Its the opposite
Of hate
With such power
From my mate
What will occur
When these two terms
Clash
It is pain
It is terror
It is sorrow
We have not spoken
We have not seen
I cannot stand
Not being able
To hold your hand
I need you by me
I need you with me
I need to hear
Your voice so clear
I need to see
You right here
I need to touch
Your lips with mine
Or else I will suffer
From a pain so true
From not being
There with you
