Are there shadows in my soul?
I’m tormented by the question,
maddened by the answers
I looked into my face with hollow eyes.
It sees straight thru to where the soul would abide.
But are there shadows in my soul?
Does it dwell in a place, where from
reality it could hide from me
you know the things that I've done,
when it comes to evil, I ‘m it’s nature son.
There are shadows in my soul!
I heard the sounds from within,
the moaning echoes of its cries.
In the shadows, I feel it there;
Fear, sometimes more than I can bear.
Where are the shadows in my soul?
Sometimes I catch a glimpse of it,
Emotions trapped in a prison of its
own design, only darkness lie in my soul
that’s will devouring me whole
Are there shadows in my soul?
The sadness over whelmed me
as I tried to comprehend as the
sinking souls proclaim dark love
With No escape from above
