Stop It!

Stop beating myself up over yesterdays nonsense

what was done was done and today is labeled as

"Mine"

-that selfish word we used as children

not allowing anyone to ruin our day

 why not we as adults become selfish with our happiness

Not just put on a smile

but to genuinely mean every stretched muscle as we share that same smile

selfish in the sense that I would not allow you to dictate MY happiness

You see, we live in a world where what consumes us is external struggles

forgetting about those internal battles we call

confusion and doubt

We ignore them to suit another mans worry

what kind of life is that....

So my daily mantra is

STOP IT

stop fighting with those who could care less if we win or lose

stop fighting with those who morals are non existing

Stop fighting with self

because can't no one else push me forward as much as I can

and I will...
