I clearly remember visiting my father in Soledad
he was healthy buffed up and didn’t look like he was doing too bad
when he got out and came home I was kind of glad
until he raised hell over his shoulders and dropped it on us
for that he violated his parole I was the one who went and told
I know you’re thinking that’s kind of cold
tell that to my mother’s unidentifiable face and bloody robe
