Up to the heavens
Like host on the altar---offered up
To God:
Always hungry for the burdens
Of His children.
Always consuming the deep secrets of their souls---
Always making a way out of no way.
With a sigh of relief only The Most High can give,
I smiled away the pain
And gave Him thanks for yet another day
Along the Jubilee road.
