Would have been the night
I mustered the courage to tell you exactly how I feel
The energy I have reserved for you
Would have finally been revealed
The words I shared materialized into something you could have touched
Someone you could have loved
I now know what awaits me down this road
Every path I travel leads me to you
I am now prepared for the detours
