Falling star

Shooting star

finding your way to me

falls swiftly to earth

over the Sea

me riding it down

in my imaginings

animals watching in awe

with a need to glow

Orbital pathways

i am in orbit, here 

So are we all 

dropping down to surface

angular velocity substantially reduced

from where i stand, or sit, 

still, milling about

occupying time/space

half a life's worth of life

at most

looking into my children's eyes 

every now and then, 

look again grand children's lives

yet still 935 mph headed east 

held here while moving

under the influence of gravity

along several axes 

by various intergalactic fields

turning on a moving plane 

moving in place... 

upon a spinning world

in a rotating galaxy

in a universe

The moment he closed his eyes 

and could see

He knew he could feel

The world changing around him 

He knew somehow 

everything was different

His mind was evolving 

in ways he'd never imagined

He could see 

through solid objects

Knowing the intricate details 

inherent in their designs. 

Total knowledge 

in multiple perspectives 

Like he was uploading 

vast bits of a reality 

Which had long 

held fascination

Turning to time/Space

Something shifted, 

almost imperceptive

His thoughts blurred, 

then cleared 

He "saw in his mind" 

mental calculations

Blank space

Not emptiness

just not quite defined
as being in a place

there is no identifying trace
of existence here

whether there ever was

or is it naught

A tiny spark

Deep ...Dark places.

Yet, fed by the faintest spark

is able in its small heart to face the strongest demons

and with the right kindling

ignite a raging inferno to fuel long forgotten truths

fill what were once empty spaces in the hearth.

To feed our spirits, so that we can fend off demons

always lurking in the dark.

A tiny spark.

Swept aside. Unnoticed, seen as inconsequential.
