There was a time
I was able to perform
In front of thousands
No pressure
No anxiety
No fear
I found peace
Beneath bright lights
And hostile fans
Today
Crowds resemble mobs
Sea of people flood the nerves
Tidal waves destroying fragile shores
I can’t breathe
Or swim
Nightmares begin
Fear replaces confidence
Panic surges my veins
I’ve changed
Disability cripples me
Remind myself breathe
In.. out..
Slow.. your.. heart.. down..
