It seems I don't know what I want

But God will provide the answer

To all the questions I inquire

A natural phase of growing up

The transition isn't easy

No one said it would be

And that's as fair as it gets

Just go with the flow of things

From adolescence to adulthood

It isn't a straight path

To discovering the light

Pit stops along the road

No shortcuts to get me through

Responsibility and ownership

Comes with the territory

The perks and privileges 

Isn't for free and shouldn't be

Taken for granted

From adolescence to adulthood

Moving forward I accept

The world for what it is

Tolerance for all species

Since we all have to coexist

Just like everyone else

I'm not immune to gravity

The journey's hard

But I still have God

My faith will help me grow

Into someone

From adolescence to adulthood

From adulthood to adolescence

Is considered uncivilized
