Walking outside on a not
quite sunny Spring day
a chorus of sounds greet me
singing
Mocking birds rapturing to each
other in near by trees
A tingling massage of my ears
pleases me
I stop in my tracks to hear
the sound of ratta tat tat
cn only be the beautiful colored
woodpecker doing that
Of course the inevitable will have
to have their say
the wily caw caw crow missing
nothing coming their way
