As I kneel down
In an effort
To pray to the most high
My stomach fills
With butterflies
I try to comprehend
How am I going
To thank my lord
For this heart
Which he constantly mends
This heart that beats
The blood of his son
The blood which courses
Through my veins
I kneel but no words come out
Tears simply pour out
As my heart speaks
It speaks to its creator
And at that moment
All is set free
Tears flow
Conjured from the depths
Of my soul
I pray to the most high
Uttering words of thanks
But not a single word
Is articulated by my mouth
Not a single word dares slips out
But my heart shouts his praise
I am filled with emotion
Emotion I fully embrace
As he pours out his grace
Thank you Lord
Are words my heart pours out
My soul leaps for joy knowing
That the most high watches
Carefully scribing my destiny
While I simply say

FOR THE BLESSINGS
