We Say "Black Lives Matter"

but we kill each other more than any other

posting facebook fighs, so we empower their rights

it's like we're giving them green light to say it's ok

for them to treat us like animals in disarray anyways

and all the hype about being "a product of my enviroment"

I've witnessed African Americans rise from the sewers

to million dollar retirements, so tired of this

and it's insane, because government is as much at blame

issuing checks, making it easy for all to relax

living off the working man tax

yet we have soldiers that battled in the trench

steady battling for benefits after separation of the military

can't recieve restoration, the severity and mental stains

selling food stamps and abusing welfare

but discourage others endeavoring to elevate their life

in their spare time

they only treat us how we treat us

drug use and alcohol abuse, infants infected in the fetus

soon to be father using the benefits to purchase a new pair

of Adidas

but have excuses about finding jobs, blaming previous

incarcerations, if only he can apply that concentration and

dedication the way he moves narcotics, than he'd become less of a target, it's only obvious

polluting our children, influencing negative feelings

assuming all law enforcements are the villians

some are truly honest

we need to start with ourselves and make the change

in whatever change should be

start with stopping the violence

and stop using these babies like accessories

let's encourage each other, from brother to brother

one color to another

remember most importantly, love each other
