You've been through hard times,
Lifes struggles caused you to commit some crime,
you wish you could take back what you did  at times,
but that doesn't define who you are as a human,
People judge you based on mistakes you've made, ,
Frightend of you, they consider you subhuman.
What others see as a criminal , you see as a way of life,
surviving, by any means necessary,  yet having some hope on the  contrary.
People whispher...
assume....
not knowing everyday you put on your costume,
ready and willing, to perform,
knowing just being you could land you  in the head lines of a newsroom.
You feel no one gets it, no one understand....
You go back to what you know, past crimes you recommit.
You feel helpless, what do you know about a life you don't live....
you don't live in my shoe's.....
you don't live in a place where its life or death, everday you have to choose.
Life's conditions has hardend your heart,
you find it hard to cope,
You dream of one day, leaving behind all the pain....
all the blame....
just so you could start new again, with new found hope.
I'm here to say, I'm listing....
I hear you.....
I see you.....
I feel your pain,
You matter....
Your strength is beyond what you know,
Dismiss those who judge based on what they don't know,
We judge and we've all made the same mistakes before.
You are never alone....
Others have walked the same path as you,
Some of us have survived, I believe you will to.
Never forget you matter, regardless of your past,
It doesn't make you an outcast,
So stand up....
