I help/
resurrect the dead/
when I write/
with lead,/
ink or fingers./
Keyboards/
or pads/
are where/
lyrics linger./
Spirits linger,/
influencing/
my demeanor./
Back in the day,/
I would trade/
water for wine,/
and even a little/
Tanqueray./
With great faith,/
I say/
I take/
heavenly orders/
for times/
sake./
With 2 loaves/
and 2 slices/
of ham,/
I want to feed/
woman and man/
with the pen/
God put in my hand./
Drown my army/
of words in your/
Red Sea./
Energetic;/
the same way/
you felt/
when you read these/
words I sneeze/
on a desk’s/
Kleenex./
With spectacles,/
I peer into/
the future/
and see beasts/
with 3 heads./
The pen leaks/
better than/
I speak./
A ventriloquist,/
when God spits/
through the flick/
of my wrist./
Walking on Great Lakes,/
being I don’t/
know how to swim,/
takes great faith./
Looking for Sunbeam/
as the the sun beams;
trying to avoid/
a diabetic/
coma/
chasing great cake./
Complications/
from diabetes,/
almost kept my/
heart from beating./
Being that/
I’m still speaking,/
of an invisible God/
you’re not seeing-/
an element of/
the miracle/
is in believing./
