You clamped your teeth down shut
Like a raging pit , jaws locked
When I needed you the most
To voice unspoken words .
So now I'm left with broken memory tapes
I keep on replay;
I remember your looks ,
The repeated history of us
Could go down in textbooks ;
So others could learn from before
Make love and not war !
