Conquering Hate
A plague passed from generation to generation
Bouncing around from nation to nation
Seems like we'll never escape this curse
Throughout time it only gets worse
Wars over religion seemed quite odd
Just worship differently but to the same God
Bloodshed just for being unlike the other
We have the same father are you not my brother
Just one example, there are plenty more
From beyond the ceiling to beneath the floor
List as long as the ages
All we're doing is adding pages
From politics, religion, sexuality and race
Seems the hate is only changing face
All of it makes no sense to me
How as humans are we divided so easily
Do we not breathe the same air?
Even though we have different skin and hair
Noses, body types, ears and eyes
We bleed blood and live under the same skies
But but but we don't all think the same
So, we’re dealt different hands in life's gam
Doesn't mean we should take another's light
For things that won't matter at the end of night
Causes meant to unify, media uses to seperate
Then make us the cause of the hate
Before you know it we're at each others throat
Still missing the fact that we're on the same boat
So drop your guns, cease the aggression
Let's work towards ending mental segregation
Spread love and understanding in every nation
Time to start humanity's transformation
We are but one race and that is the human race
We live, we die, we just have a different face
Stop blaming the whole for the actions of a few
Love conquers hate. That's all we need to do
If you disagree the problem is you
