When we walked everywhere...

CATEGORY

Remember walking home from school? The store, library, church, games and practice? We used to wear out soles, And sweat out clothes, Dreaming of the freedom a car would bring, Couldn't wait to be grown, Sitting on chrome, With your own place, food, and phone, Then we got older and that reality became colder, Real freedom, it seems was as a child and in our teens, Where we could go anywhere & do anything... for free.

Be careful what you wish for my elders would always say to me. Now I understand the wisdom of those words.

No doubt jlmoore2. To quote Mark Twain: “When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.”
