Every year when the time is right
The leaves
They fall peacefully in
But never out of sight.
For it is the season of autumn
Not even the rain can penetrate as strong as autumn's blossom
How she illuminates her dark colors in
Shades unseen
Your satisfaction guaranteed.
Oh how
Her red leaves seem to bleed
On the concrete they lay
Forever stained.
She remains
Still autumn
Still a youth among all tremors
The wind symbolizing her temper
You know with every move
She radiates-
Her coldness consumed
Autumn collects dirt and dust
From over the years
Her unpredictability
Follows her tears
She tears down the very structure she makes
Her safety hidden behind picket gates
Only during the day
You see
Autumn.
You can look at her and trust her
For she is a calmness.
Nothing like you’ve felt before
On Lonely nights
Her ugliness comes racking at your door
So scared to leave her outside
Also so frightened to fully let her in
So you wait
Patiently
For her peaceful leaves to fall again
In
Autumn.
