Lord God I wish I were blue
Like the skies and blend in near you.
But I'm not, I am black
Troubled, and my hearts out of whack.
And even though I grab a hold of sin
You never let go you took me in.
I still faded in life like trash
Thinking I'm saved by having cash.
I put my life into a rut
Beginning as an acorn to a complete nut.
I followed my own wishful thinking
So like the Titanic, I too, was sinking.
What can I do to turn this around
Must I die first and go underground?
Lord, I need to come back to you
Though now I don't know what to do.
But where I'm really falling through
Is when to you I don't stay true.
So now I'm wishing I were blue
