how can I write a poem about love
without chronicling the pain, trying
hard not to complain, some feelings
are just too hard to contain, going
back down memory lane heartbroken
caused by breakups after several
makeups we both still look the same
sadly we have not changed, if we don't
find a cure for our symptom, we will
continue to pray for and prey on our
next victim, it starts at home, no love
left out to roam, I swear every time
I hear those words, I feel a pinch nerve
both hands on the wheel, I swerve
to keep from hitting the curve, no
I don't find you boring, it's just too
many potholes in your story, I can't
keep up, you just talk too much
you're suppose to keep your
secrets safe, you're too informative
wait until I ask, how you feel...about me
