it's hard to fit in to what you don't understand
and it's hard to pretend, you comprehend
smile and nod, feeling awkward and odd
thinking of excuses, plans and escapes
hoping no one looks your way, you squirm
around in your seat and repeat, have to go
something won't let you rise, don't want
all eyes on you, you have to make a break
for it feeling claustrophobic, hoping you
don' t faint, try to breathe but, can't
in the mist of a panic attack and you still
have to go, hoping no one knows, take
a deep breath, send one up, for help
made it in time before you went on yourself
sweating bullets, now the toilet won't flush
no matter how many times you pulled it
thinking about jumping out the window
people knocking at the door, oh no
they got to got too, what you gonna do
