Lost socks, unsure why,
Looking for pairs in despair aimlessly we try,
To find matches but end up with orphans,
Dividing colors and whites into equal portions,
Forever lost in the wash, they cost those with feet,
Fortunes missing between shirts and a sheet,
In the journey from the washer to the dryer,
Maybe sock manufacturers have a special supplier,
Who makes a special sock that dissolves in the wash...
