I wrote poetry where

I titled it Failure

 it wasn’t failure

nothing was wrong

with the words

by no one

no one who

It's gonna hurt to leave it's gonna be hard to say goodbye There’s a place I go I don’t talk about it's down the road somewhere out there it’s calm and still it knows my name, like it knows my will the hands on the clock is stuck somewhere in the past something in the present didn't let me pass it made me stay in school after class during the shift it's like the lever broke off in my hand and cut through my flesh like a shard of glass standing on the dock the ship already passed talking to the clock "I'll never trust time again chatting with the stars I know the stars are friends trees are green sky is blue really is that the truth the feelings too loud can't describe the sound

some were born in silence others in screams I did not know how to name them all Each one cried a fragment of tears a mark left behind I would not forget that I survived myself the number stands before me Not as a goal yet to meet but as a closing of a circle a dot in the middle a creative symbol "Look Within 'The Immortal Wize never a man never a mask a thousand cords a body of soul when the four thousandth is done It will rest on a desk forged in silver carved in memory etched in stone

I was never afraid of being forgotten I was afraid of being remembered incorrectly So I stopped explaining I let silence correct the typos . I let time misunderstand me . The truth The real truth doesn’t rush to be aknowledged . It waits patiently . It watches who distorts it who abandons it who returns to it when everything else fails . I have seen versions of myself exist in other people’s stories that I never lived to tell I did not rush to edit a word What is real does not compete with what is convenient. So I became still Not weak but permanent Not loud but undeniable in my stance the same silence they mistook for absence . echoes louder than a memory of me I did not write to be understood I wrote so that one day when truth becomes undeniable my words would already be there

what you think about the words what you think the words are worth do you like the verse to not forget a word I must rehearse spring back in time put it in reverse relax remind myself to unwind the silver strands let the seasons blow in the wind truly need the breeze to flow my way feels like a different kinda day living in a penthouse in the projects throw a croc at the clock on the wall it didn't fall the test of time stands tall against great odds I feel small what do the words mean cue the rhythm I'll sing like a bird until I sprout wings the dream is reality in the between new vibe new flow is how one grow highrise is far from bellow the bottom is closer than you know "HOW" when one fall then one will know it takes awhile to reach the top but the bottom is just a drop

the silence between us is a bridge where the echo of the chorus plays we strum the strings as we turn the page a thousand different ways to split a solo into a twin flame we always did belong on the same stage carrying notes but if it's a poem we can't call it song

personally I don't eat everybody's gumbo I don't know what the big deal is about it gumbo is like potato salad it's a right way and a wrong way to make it according everyone's taste if you ask me "don't ask me" I'm not a food critic and I don't do food reviews but what I do know about it is the secret is in the roux it takes time to brew it originated from the boot it's full of herbs and ingredients and if you ain't careful you could get a root put on you
