from the day that we first met
seemed as if

for ever, after a lifetime
of being together

perfection is our pattern of emotions
as we do this sweeping ballet
our every motion
a characteristic of expression
as we are feeding
our passion
directly into each others
mind and soul
although sometimes,
we get on each other's last nerve
and for a moment...
place empty space

we never fail to feel
the calling of the arc of our emotions
falling back into one another
we might feel lonely
missing our silent partner
and when, once again
we come together
as if, we'd never met
knowing in our hearts
we were never meant to be alone
here, i gaze lovingly
from within my heart at you
from an empty tomb
directly at the walls
of this empty room
taking it all in stride,
mind exploring
through the fog of sorrow
somewhere deep inside
lost in meditation
a stream fed by
all the fallen castles
i'd ever built upon the sands
of my past life,
of understandings lost and found
wet with teardrops
bringing sparks of sadness in my eyes
am i wishing my life away
or is this just
my world turning
is all this
just happening in a dream,
starlit sparkling reflections
dance upon the waters
filling the air with echoes
of imaginings.
while here we sit drifting
amidst the rising, falling tides
dangling our bare feet
into the universal stream,
quietly taking in it all...
within the eddies
and the gentle waves
tickling our toes,
letting our troubles go...
making ripples with our kisses
not just going with the flow.
