With each passing moment..
This ship sails further
From the shore...
From you.
Necessary, yet,
I regret being taken for such a bore.
Strangled, drugged, and captured¬
I am a prisoner of this ship that no one seems to be sailing after.
Just lifelessly drifting away...
No map, no compass..but,
There was no decision to stay.

I know not my purpose,
Only that¬
I do have one...
Had your love been on the list..
I would have chosen that one¬
But it wasn't.
You were never the mission, nor I.
Just a
Prize,
Won by those who channel their
Focus on the mission at hand.
Yet these carnival games made me realize
I too, am a mortal man.
Waiting to be given a direction¬
So,
I steer this ship...nonetheless,
As my objective..
Battling the widowed ocean¬
Waves crashing against
As to reject it...
But my presence is known...
My spirit,
Longing to connect with
The spirit of the sea...
"Take me to the shore",
I demand,
All the while she was guiding it
To me...
