Trapped within these walls that I know I could easily break out of....
If I wanted to,
But truth is I've found a place of vacation & relaxation within this confinement.
Always in & out for me.
Constantly,
Laughing at people who stay in for long periods of time with a smile on their face.
Guess it's just hard to understand until you get put in their place,
Or
Position.
Disposition states dismissal,
And in spite of hearing the guards whistle
Beckoning me to come out,
I willingly remain detained as if chained to the wall.
I Fall,
To my knees.
My mind begging me to get up & leave,
But I’ve always worn my heart on my sleeve,
& it's tugging me towards the back wall of my cell.
My entire body begins to swell.
Until the volcanic eruption shakes the whole world with hells fury.
Then a quiet calmness where nothing can be heard but the voices of angels.
I finally manage to crawl out limp & beaten,
But I can’t wait to get locked up again.
& even though I may have a trophy to show for my crime in 9 months...
I won’t regret not pulling out.
