Life can be bittersweet.
Sometimes you get a trick.
Sometimes you get a treat.
And sometimes you have to –hold hands with the teacher, like me
Although it was embarrassing I wasn’t mad
See in computer class we didn't have assigned seats
So once we got inside I scanned the room immediately trying to find Desiree
While I was looking for her she was looking for me
We locked eyes then she nodded to an empty seat [sweet]
I started walking but her friend Brandi got there before me
I shrugged grinning as I walked the other way taking the only seat that was left
which wasn’t all that bad since it was right behind Desiree
just a little to the left
After what was like forever just tapping keys sitting there
I tapped her chair, she leaned back flicked her hair
We giggled sharing a quick stare
That’s when I heard Brandi's annoying voice cut through the air
I was so caught up in the moment I forgot she was there
Man what a pain I thought as she whispered at me “lameâ€
Back at my desk I folded my secret plans into a paper plane
Threw it over Desiree’s shoulder
and watched it crash into her computer screen
She snatched it -read it -then kept it for a second
After that she balled it up and tossed it back in my direction

The longest HourBack in class a light chatter filled the room We played it cool Student Council was starting That meant me and you know who was leaving soon I was full of hope from the crumpled note Going over what she wrote “I bet you wont" Was what it said a simple answer to question posed My secret message now exposed had struck gold I was overcome with a joy I couldn’t control Even still I felt myself getting more nervous with every moment as the events began to unfold I snapped back back to reality all I could see was desiree packing her things I Knew it was time my legs got weak My heart Skipped a beat I tried to move but my feet had fell asleep It was like my body Was glued To the seat Once I was freed I started walking with Desiree next to me She gave my hand a squeeze As we started to leave I could barely breathe but before we could get out the door I heard the teacher |

How i met RegretMy heart, burried with the memories of her never to see the light of day i could have apologized instead i left, taking to the waves. Ignored the slow tears that ran down her woe-filled face. Misled by the sweet words of a silver tongue her love was betrayed, broke her heart with a promise i wasnt ready to make. echoes of a whisper drifting through the wind.
