Tails flog in chase to get ahead
Glancing blows off windowed shops
Stops are made momentary to watch parades
Fashioned shows of rave, in parabolic reality bites
Fogged over sights, leads by panic and fright by invite
This show and its cast must be known, to per chance exist
Food drops are meant to nourish from above as manna persists
No one will eat, until its passed thru bowels of demand at least twice
Foul’ recompense alights upon birds of prey and on the gentile fauna alike
Today would not be a daze, if not for yesterdays unrealized promise
Romanced tragedy in all its regularity of return, pay per view to this looking glass
To seek answers from outside looking back surmising minute reality perceived
Goading the unknown, to merrily return the dreams that were lost in futile pursuits
Pleading to see past the eyes that hold our sway, as we search for that same from memories
Blinded and unable to fathom something so deep, we hypnotically stare until fast asleep
Cares are cast behind in a tidal cycle swept back out beyond our current wave of reference
So we swim around the bowl again, hungry for that which haunts from beyond that realigns
Ultimately not wanting to lose sleep as our faith escapes we swim away, in search of meaning....
