Haul Off

loss soul falling into potholes

walking around eyes closed

fallen to the bottom no room

to move around underground

holding on like a snap turtle

in the jaws of a lion pawing

scratching to break free from

the grips of the great beast

about to rip and tear meat

from the bones of the sheep

like piles of wool on a heap

time to reap before reapers

creep gleaning beating hearts

left out in the street industry

over there behind the tree

a scared deer in a steel pose

peeing on the side of the road

careful not to step on a toads

frog legs for dinner anyone

aw I'm just having fun witted

yo, yo up and down around

the world through the house

what's sitting on the couch

get on the floor and crouch

ants work harder than me

hustling wit a lot of muscle

I paid 'em no mind until one

bit me it was time to leave

it don't take no time to walk

across the street carrying

a leaf at least not for me
