did my homework now I
can go outside play and
ride my bike up the street
around the corner knock
on doors for friends to
come outside and play
with me so we can laugh
and talk run and hide
seek sit on the curve
listening to bells ringing
from up the street screaming
"ICE CREAM MAN COMING"
run inside quick ask for
some money "please"
I'll do anything for a bag
of chili Fritos and a grape
Nehi hurry grand momma
before he pass by she say
ok bring me back a Pepsi
and a Moon Pie this here
scene was once my life
but to this half there's
a whole other side
