Today is a day of celebration!
Taking heed to its beckoning,
The festivity’s call has been answered.
Its been said and is written
That when the enjoyment of life
Is commended there’s nothing greater
For one under the sun,
Except in this case, many,
Than to eat, drink and be happy.
And here we are, congregated.
Harmoniously vibing amongst
Family and friends while
Melodious notes make their way
Into our souls and we partake
In forkfuls of deliciousness
Making this moment one of
The most unforgettable of all time.
So before the setting of the sun,
Before we give our last salutations,
And prepare for the ride home,
Let us lift our glasses and our hearts
In a most humbled appreciation
Of one another and this blessing
We call life.
