LABORERS OF LOVE: A HAIKU OCTET

IN PRAISE OF DIVINE LIBERATION

I once wallowed in apathy;

I once had feelings of being unworthy;

I once struggled with fathering failure;

I once, in anger, felt God had abandoned me;

Then, keloid memories of the childhood lesson,

In gracious spirituality, massaged my paining soul;

And with amazing divine wisdom and guidance,

I exercised the healing grace of the message

And was lessoned in the awareness taught:-

In renewed soul searching prayer,

I sought action to replace apathy,

And labors of love were found;

I asked for help in arriving

At belief in my self’s worthiness,

And it was profoundly given unto me;

I knocked on that door of determination,

It opened widely, ushering out failure

And ushered in faithful persistence:-

With forgiveness and supreme love,

BALLOTING WISELY

With faith in ourselves,

And with hands of liberty,

Let’s vote out evil:-

VOTING POWER

The plan is oneness,

And we're wholly its success;

We have the power:-

SERENITY...

Hate trying to climb…

Naturing winds of peace blow...

Love scattering hate…

IN THE NOW OF WARING TIMES

The time is now

And now is the time

To no longer scream

“No justice…No peace”!

“Black lives matter”!

“Power to the people”!

We must now declare

And go to ensuring war

Making democracy

And equality reality:-

And no it does not

Have to be guns firing

And bombs dropping;

It simply needs to be

Voting empowerment

And other changing actions

That also makes the Constitution

More than just words

But a living document of liberation.

Yes there can be war

Without collateral

Damaging murder

When the focusing action

Becomes the “killing off”

Of apathetic mentality

Towards constitutional

Irregularities

Denying constitutional...

TO AN INSPIRING CHILD I KNOW

Know that you are not God’s punishment

To your parents for something they did or didn’t do:-

Never ever feel that you are unworthy

And lesser than anyone else in this world we live in;

For you, dearly beloved, are God’s gift to this world.

The disfiguration you survived and carry,

Is of your body and not of your beautiful mind:-

It’s a deformed physicality rather than a skewed

Reality of your mentality and beautiful spirituality:-

It is not the body that determines our worthiness;

Rather, it’s the supreme rendering of our soul’s spirituality

And the divine wisdom and guidance we have and give humanity.

Know that you are the survived glorious embodiment 

Of thanksgiving faith, hope, peace, and healing love:-

Continue to share your enjoyment and gla...

TURTLES OF LIBERTY

In the race of life,

Let us be as the turtle,

Rather than as the hare:-

Let self assurance,

And motivated focus,

Pace our journeying:-

Our shelling wisdom,

And paced determination,

Mirrors destiny:-

The Distance is long…

Let patience be a virtue…

Resilience shelled…

The race may be slow,

But liberty is coming—

Let’s steady our pace:-

Praise longevity,

Ancestors’ footprints

leading—

Persistence fueling:-

We’re shelled in oneness;

Turtling along the way—

Winning liberty:-

TO BEING HERE ON A GLORIOUS DAY

Because you are in it,

This is indeed, a blessed day 

To fully enjoy and be glad in:-

While some have been called in,

You have been given another day

To be an instrument of His Peace

And a daily reflector of His Love:-

Despite the painful challenges

This day shall confront you with,

Healing grace and divine wisdom

Shall guide you in conquering feats:-

Thus, in living hope and faith,

You must enjoy this day, and fulfill it

With labors of love to others and self:-

TO OUR BELOVED YOUTH

Being the seeds of the seeds

Of the fruits of your beginnings,

Yours is the destiny to ensure reality

To the visions of dreams deemed deferred:-

Listen, chickens have their coops;

You, our beloved, are eaglets:

Heirs of daughters of the moon

And sons of the shining sun!

Focus your revealing eyes;

Spread your wings wide;

Feather well your nest;

Soar in great glory!

The All Seeing Eye is upon you;

The Pyramids stand before you;

Flowing waves are behind you;
