Liberty stands still—
Holding her unbalanced scales:
Black justice uneven:-
No justice…no peace!
Liberty’s lady stands there;
Blindfolded and deaf:-
The Statue of Liberty stands in troubled waters;
Wrinkling Black waves stream by daily.
Blindness and deafness are sage qualities of hers;
Each one mocking black justice with fragility:-
