Note: My Health Scare Testimony in Poetic Form
I was diagnosed by the age of 20
It hit me hard but it felt kinda funny
I was Shocked I couldn't believe it
I was just told I'm a Type 2 diabetic
I wasn't happy in fact, I was mad but
at the same time I was actually glad
I didn't like the news that I received but
If I just keep it controlled I'll be relieved
This Illness can have its Symptoms
Like, weight gain, weight loss and Fatigue
Hunger, Dizziness, Hyperglycemia
Hypoglycemia, blurred vision and poor
wound healing,
Frequent urination, and
a lot of other complications
if not controlled properly
Diet, Exercise, Medication, Insulin
I've had them All
my goal is to controll
It wasn't Easy but God Spared my Life
Because of diabetes, I was at Deaths Door
Twice
The First one, it got me, but it wasn't my time
My sugars shot up to 1,169
But by the Grace of God He said No not today!!
And I'm Around to testify to this very Day!!
On the Second Attempt, my Sugars had dropped low!!
All the way to 12 now that's a Low blow.
Paramedics showed up and resuscitated me back!!
Had my mom waited any Longer to call, that would've been that!!!
I Am a Type 2 Diabetic So, now that you know,
my condition to this today:
Is Fully Controlled!!!
