Turns in position, romancing a good side
Standing on a square of good lighting, time after times
Hoping to convey and memorialize fantasy
Out in a world of traps and common secular gravity
It’s easy to live on the assigned strength of happy or a stern face’d
Until appearances are shattered or swiped away thru falling tears
Outside the water streaking down cheeks to cleanse, inside it began
Sometimes, it’s just our insides reflecting love pangs on a skin-deep range
Reminding us of what to seek always goes deeper than superficial reach
A forward-facing mirror is only able to capture what’s in front,
while hiding or partially revealing what’s behind our captured image
In order to fully see for ourselves, we must always begin to look thru the mirror within
