I thought I was sinking
Until I realized that
I was floating—
Sitting here buoyed
In and above it all—
Now I realize
That I am not where
I once was
But am now waving
Towards the liberating
Shores to sunshine grace
On the waiting sands of time:
Come hang your hammock
From the palms next to mine
As we give thanks to the divine:-
Here, have a sip of my wine
And let’s have a blessed time.
