Feeling kind of blue

So I thought I’d share

This with you

Together in loneliness

Is an oxymoronic

Way to be

Two separate flowing

Rivers can only be together

If flowing towards

The same sea

We’ve both survived

The middle passage

Of our sated way

Let’s not allow

Anything to dam

Our oneness

Let us not succumb

To what others say

As they’re trying

To justify failing

Their tested way

Rather than

Ruminating on what

We’re dying with

Let’s give praises

And thanks to God

For having us

Alive and here

In spite of it—

A learned lesson

Of joy and happiness

In the onement

Of our oneness:-
