In the beginning,

We were the architects

Of God’s world;

And they became

The devastating forces

Of it’s decline:-

We were the flowers

And fruits of the Garden;

They became

The slithering coiling

Slime of disobedience

And disrespect:-

We were chosen 

To teach cross bearing

With the Bearer thereof;

Save Mark

They tried to leave out

The Cyrene hue:-

We must know

Ourstory 

Didn’t begin with slavery;

They just lyingly

Implicated this in canvassing

Their shaded history:-

We are the oppressed

And they are the oppressors

And crucifiers:

But we are the resurrected

Overcoming and ascending

To total liberation:-

Hey, let we hued poets

Continue to pen peace,

Love and liberation—

As their weakening words

Continue to evaporate

Into devastation:-
