Picked from a garden with care and ease
Once a little dainty seed planted in the soil
A smell fragrant-scented breeze
Filling the air with a vapor of beauty indeed
The deadly vine of modified leaves
Red silky pedals all wrapped in tissue paper green
Tightly bowed in ribbon of red and white
A gif of love that someone gave
Destined for a deep watery grave
A gift that would not last for long
Through out the days past
The dry pedals are gone
Through the foggy misty tall stem glass
The beauty that once stood is sure to pass
The Petals have already fallen in place
The Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder
Not the death of the fallen bud of grace
From its p.r.i.c.k.l.e.d shrub soaked in water of ros'e
Down to its Thorniest Vine and pos'e
Once a Reddest bloom in it's prime
Illuminating through out the room from sun lit blinds
The Ruby Arid descended
Blemished Pedals yellow sun dried streaks
Pressed between pages of memories to keep
