You are a diamond in the ruff.

I grabbed my shovel, and I dug, and I dug.

   Until I saw a glimmer.

There you were, shinning, amongst all this filth.

Buried, covered by the earth's settlement.

Delicate, the excavation required patience.

Fragile, long have you gone unseen.

But I saw.

   Excited, struggling to maintain composure.

Afraid was I, that you would be stolen.

So I share your discovery to none.

In disbelief, as my hands confirm your realness.

Many of wonder I have found, but none like you.

Selfish, what I would be, attempting to keep you from view.

Shine, for you deserve the light.

Surprised are they when you debut.

Giving proof to rarity, if one truly pursued.

That which is priceless, and finds more than value.
