A message to mommy
This woman
Made me
Pushed me out
In this old cold world
Stopped my crying with a hug
Started me crying with well placed slap
This woman loved me before I was in physical form as my cells split in two then four
She knew me before I knew her
Mommy can you hear me
I’m crying because your dying
I replay everything you say
I don’t know what you want me to do
I can’t hug your neck
A thousand miles away from your smile
I would walk back to your love
I’m sorry mommy I didn’t prepare for this moment
Time is an executioner
Time is cruel
Mommy is it time for you to go
I don’t know
Can I go
And you stay
For a minute
For a hour
Just stay a little longer
I love you Mommy
