Time To Saddle Up (12142025)

You and Me

What's wrong with You?

There's nothing wrong with Me

No, what's wrong with You?

I said there's nothing wrong with Me

I know there's nothing wrong with Me

What's wrong with You?

I want You to stop asking Me what's wrong with Me

There's nothing wrong with Me

But there is something definitly wrong with You

That's what I been trying to tell You

There's something wrong with You

Compress

You gotta think outside

the box in order to

figure out how to stuff

a couch inside a box.

Have Mercy

We learned to ask for mercy
From our mothers before we
Understood that mercy meant mother.

We pray, Mother, and our mothers
Tell us to pray to our Father.

We forgive our Father for the storm,
We forgive our Father for the flood,
We forgive our Father when the earth shakes.

We extend forgiveness to the Father
For things we cannot understand,
Yet struggle to extend mercy
To the mother who is only human.

As children, we needed our mothers
To understand us.
As adults, sometimes we must learn
To understand our mothers.

Having mercy on your mother
Doesn't mean pretending she never hurt you.

She was a child before she was a mother,
A little girl with experiences that shaped her,
Making decisions with whatever understanding
And resources she had at the time.

Like everyone else,
She was imperfect,

All We Need Is A Heartbeat

anything can be sung

you don't have to hear

the music to sing

our voice is an instrument

all we need is a heartbeat

rhythm doesn't need permission

a melody doesn't need a name

a song is just a feeling

looking for a way out

sometimes it's a voice

that doesn't know it's singing

sometimes it's a word

a whisper a conversation

between two souls

sometimes it's the sound of silence

interrupted by the one thing

we all have in common

a heartbeat

The Poet and The Immortal

I built this throne with words and rhyme

I've earned my seat one line at a time

Before you claimed that you couldn't die

I gave your existence a reason why

I took my pain and made it art

I gave my words a beating heart

You wear forever like a chain

who were you before I laid it down

You speak of beginnings as if they were ends

You wrote of strangers and called them friends

You gave your pain a place to reside

But never imagined the world inside

You mastered the pen but I mastered time

You wrote the verses I became the rhymes

You thought your words were your legacy

Until you became what you couldn't foresee

Immortal? You think you've surpassed my name?

Without my fire, you'd have no flame

You stand so tall on the words I wrote

Dual Duel

Poured out all the love

Love that went to waste

Have not a drop

Not even a taste

Sweet and sour

Pair well together

Love and hate

Will never sever

There

Even  though it seems as though

You’re going the wrong way

The process will not point you

In the wrong direction

Trust the process

Do not rush the journey

STUFF

One of my favorite words

I like to use alot is Stuff

I don’t know why but

I like Stuff I love Stuff

Stuff can be anything

Some of us have some Stuff

Some of us have a lot of Stuff

Some of us can’t get enough Stuff

Some of us have too much Stuff

I got a lot of Stuff on my mind

I got too much Stuff to do

It’s too much Stuff in my way

We buy Stuff we don’t need

We all have Stuff we’re trying to

Work though some people carry

Stuff they never talk about

I have to deal with my own Stuff

Before I can help you with your Stuff<...

Sometimes getting back

on your feet isn’t just

about what you can do for

Yourself.

It’s also about being able

to recognize yourself in

what you can do for others.

THEY STOLE OUR RIGHTS AND GAVE US OUR WRONGS

They stole Our rights and

gave Us Our wrongs

Then They called Us disloyal

when We dared to question

Who made the rules

They made Us feel guilty

for reclaiming Our belongings

They told Us nothing

belonged to Us as if

We don’t belong

They took what’s Ours

made Their rules Their laws

then called Us wrong

for demanding Our rights

They poisoned Our fruits

They bittered Our roots

We know They exist

We don’t know who They

are or who They be

We call them They

We should never forget

what They done
