The Poet and The Immortal

I built this throne with words and rhyme

I've earned my seat one line at a time

Before you claimed that you couldn't die

I gave your existence a reason why

I took my pain and made it art

I gave my words a beating heart

You wear forever like a chain

who were you before I laid it down

You speak of beginnings as if they were ends

You wrote of strangers and called them friends

You gave your pain a place to reside

But never imagined the world inside

You mastered the pen but I mastered time

You wrote the verses I became the rhymes

You thought your words were your legacy

Until you became what you couldn't foresee

Immortal? You think you've surpassed my name?

Without my fire, you'd have no flame

You stand so tall on the words I wrote

...

Dual Duel

Poured out all the love

Love that went to waste

Have not a drop

Not even a taste

Sweet and sour

Pair well together

Love and hate

Will never sever

There

Even  though it seems as though

You’re going the wrong way

The process will not point you

In the wrong direction

Trust the process

Do not rush the journey

STUFF

One of my favorite words

I like to use alot is Stuff

I don’t know why but

I like Stuff I love Stuff

Stuff can be anything

Some of us have some Stuff

Some of us have a lot of Stuff

Some of us can’t get enough Stuff

Some of us have too much Stuff

I got a lot of Stuff on my mind

I got too much Stuff to do

It’s too much Stuff in my way

We buy Stuff we don’t need

We all have Stuff we’re trying to

Work though some people carry

Stuff they never talk about

I have to deal with my own Stuff

Before I can help you with your Stuff<...

Sometimes getting back

on your feet isn’t just

about what you can do for

Yourself.

It’s also about being able

to recognize yourself in

what you can do for others.

THEY STOLE OUR RIGHTS AND GAVE US OUR WRONGS

They stole Our rights and

gave Us Our wrongs

Then They called Us disloyal

when We dared to question

Who made the rules

They made Us feel guilty

for reclaiming Our belongings

They told Us nothing

belonged to Us as if

We don’t belong

They took what’s Ours

made Their rules Their laws

then called Us wrong

for demanding Our rights

They poisoned Our fruits

They bittered Our roots

We know They exist

We don’t know who They

are or who They be

We call them They

We should never forget

what They done

Take It Up Another Level

I don't need to be the loudest in the room

I just need one line that goes "KABOOM"

put a periot on it then start again

with nothing more than a ink pen

hold up before you hear me I'm about

to say something that might sound different

when you think about it I didn't come to life

to feed the mind I came to see a hungry mind

evrybody got a voice but who got a point

when they want the whole truth I give em' half

then laugh out loud to confuse the crowd

I put my thoughts on trial and let the

evidence speak on my behalf

I said what I said what did you hear

I stand on business belief is shakey ground

the truth hit different when it's something

to fear you can spend your whole life

trying to make things clear

some people see a mirror and stil...

Thought You Had Time

you spend your whole life trying to
get somewhere "get there"
you look around like why ain't I there
chasing what's next while now
disappears then call it bad luck
when you run out of years
you say "that's just life" like life
made the rules you keep
playing the game like you ain't
got no moves you blame the
 whole world for choices you
choose then wonder how come
 you keep losing with nothing
to lose everybody want flowers
 nobody want to grow none
everybody want the harvest
 ain't nobody sow none
you can't buy back a second
 "you know that" can't
rewrite a decision when
 the moments in the past
you can bury your regrets
but the the roots grow fa...

A Privilege To Be

Winter is coming reminding me

of the hole in the pocket of a coat

I see beautiful people I don't

want to see go growing old

I wonder if they know that they're

miracles

I wonder if they would believe

me if I told them that it’s a privilege to be

Existence is extraordinary

a rare event a chance to experience

consciousness and present moments

Darkness is only night

day will come there will be

sun again and again

Hardship and struggle too

no one's exempt from

hurt and pain it always rain

it’s a miracle it’s a privilege to be

it’s a miracle it’s a privilege to be

it’s a miracle it’s a privilege to be

A Peace of Real Estate

Love is not a property line

Empathy is not a lease to sign

I was never meant to hold a key

to a house that wasn’t mine

made up my mind to leave it behind

tired of paying rent in a heart

that leaves me out in a cold

I’m taking back the heat to warm

my own soul I thought myself

a savior strong enough to bury

the strain but I only built

a prison out of someone else's

pain for too long I been trying

to fix a broken toy but looking

deep into the void I  now see

I am the thief who stole my joy
